Dear Students of the Jagiellonian University – Collegium Medicum, from June 3, 2024, you will be able to submit applications for a place in the CM Student House for the academic year 2024/2025

In accordance with Order No. 55 of the Rector of the Jagiellonian University of May 6, 2024 regarding: amending Order No. 113 of the Rector of the Jagiellonian University of September 7, 2022 regarding the Regulations on benefits for students and doctoral students of the Jagiellonian University, as amended (hereinafter referred to as “Order No. 55 of the Rector of the Jagiellonian University”), in the academic year 2024/2025, the basic criteria for awarding a place in the CM Student House, in the first and second rounds, are: 

• income per student’s family member for the month preceding the month of submitting the application,
• distance from the place of residence to the university, i.e. the Jagiellonian University – Collegium Medicum (hereinafter referred to as “UJ CM”).

Foreign students of the Jagiellonian University Medical College should submit applications for a place in the CM Student Dormitory using the appropriate electronic form via the USOSweb .

You can apply for a place in the CM Student Dormitory in two ways:

• taking into account information about income (ROUNDS I and II A and II B). Foreign students of the UJ CM, when applying in rounds I and II A and II B, starting from the academic year 2024/2025, are obliged to provide information about their income on the fourth screen of the application in USOSweb – More details to get by the scholarship coordinators at the Faculties UJ CM .

• or in a round without information about income

Applications for a place in the CM Student House submitted in the round without information will be considered in the “without providing information on income” round, and their granting will depend on the availability of places after considering applications in the rounds with providing information on income, i.e. ROUND I and ROUND II A and II B.

ATTENTION!

Submitting an application in the round without income does not guarantee that you will be granted a place!

According to Order No. 55 of the Rector of the Jagiellonian University, the “without providing information on income” round will start last only if there are vacancies after considering applications in the 1st and 2nd rounds (i.e. rounds with income information). 

This applies only to the round without taking into account information about income!

DEADLINES

In Annex No. 1 to Announcement No. 8 of the Vice-Rector for Collegium Medicum of May 15, 2024, regarding deadlines for applying for a place in the CM Student Dormitories Complex by students and doctoral students of the Jagiellonian University – Collegium Medicum in the academic year 2024/2025. (hereinafter referred to as the “Announcement”), there is information on:

APPLYING

Application for a place in the CM Student House should be submitted in the appropriate application in USOSweb for students of the UJ CM (ATTENTION! not for students of the Jagiellonian University).

DEADLINES FOR APPLYING ON USOSweb:

• IN THE FIRST (1st) ROUND, i.e. for second year and higher students – until July 5, 2024.
• IN THE SECOND (2nd) (II A; II B) ROUND expected to date:
• August 9, 2024 – II A For people recruiting for first-cycle and long-cycle master’s studies;
• August 9, 2024 – II B for people recruiting for second-cycle

• WITHOUT PROVIDING INFORMATION ABOUT INCOME – continuous round, within the available places after awarding in the first, second and third round.

ATTENTION!

The possibility of awarding students of the Jagiellonian University with a second place in the CM Student Dormitory, depends on the availability of free places after allocating places within all planned rounds I, II A, II B, III, without providing information on income.

DEPOSIT and FEES

The condition for accommodation in the allocated place in the CM Student Dormitory is the deposit paid by the student.

The deposit must be paid immediately, i.e. within 5 days from the date of granting a place in the CM Student Dormitory, and at the same time respecting the deadlines specified in Annex 1 to the Announcement.

• Students who received a place in the CM Student Dormitory in round I are obliged to pay a deposit for the place granted in the Dormitory until July 26, 2024.
• Students who received a place in the CM Student Dormitory in round II are obliged to pay a deposit for the place allocated in the Dormitory until August 23, 2024.
• Students who received a place in the CM Student Dormitory in round II B  are obliged to pay a deposit for the place allocated in the Dormitory until August 23, 2024.
• In the case of a round without taking into account information about income, the deposit must be paid no later than 5 days after being granted a place in the dormitory

ATTENTION!  Persons who do not pay the deposit within the specified deadline will lose their place in the CM Student Dormitory. The place is handed over for further allocation.

The deposit is paid in the amount of the monthly fee for a place occupied in the CM Student Dormitory, according to the price list valid from October 1, 2024.

Payments should be made to the bank account of the student house where the place was granted.

The payment title should include:

first name and last name,
index number (student ID),
with the note “deposit”

IF YOU CANCEL YOUR APPOINTMENT IN THE CM STUDENT HOUSE, IN ORDER TO OBTAIN A REFUND OF THE DEPOSIT PAID, YOU MUST CANCEL YOUR RESIGNATION IN USOSweb WITHIN THE DATE GIVEN IN ANEX No. 1 TO THE ANNOUNCEMENT.

• CM Student Dormitories Complex in Prokocim

Places in CM Student Dormitories are allocated in accordance with the preferences given by the applicant. Applicants are not granted places in student dormitories which the applicant indicated as: “I do not want to live in: ..”.

If the application is rejected and the applicant is still interested in obtaining a place in the CM Student Dormitory, please use the appropriate function in the USOSweb system.

A negative consideration may be caused by the applicant indicating student dormitories in which places have already been allocated. If the applicant wants to change his/her dormitory preferences, he/she should ask the faculty coordinator for scholarships to withdraw the application for correction, make appropriate changes to the preferences, then register and ask for the status to be changed to ready for consideration. The application will be considered in the next round.
