The International School of Krakow will employ a School Nurse /Paramedic/ Office Assistant
The School Nurse/Office Assistant works cooperatively with parents and staff to support ISK students in the development of a healthy lifestyle and responding to medical needs. This position combines the successful coordination and collaboration of the school nursing needs and some front office needs.. The School Nurse / Office Assistant is a member of the school front office staff.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of medical care for ISK students during the school day, after-school activities, and select athletic events.
- Be available for the full school day, 8:30 am – 4:30 PM when school is in session and during crisis situations.
- Serve as a resource for the entire school community, advising when children should be sent home, along with care for sick and injured students and staff. Determines when emergency services (e.g., ambulance) are to be called.
- Provides information to parents and staff on easily contagious diseases (Ex, head lice, chicken pox).
- Act as a liaison between the Polish health agencies and make recommendations for parents and staff.
- Exchange confidential information with professionals within the community to more effectively meet the needs of students.
- Organize conferences with parents, teachers, and administration as necessary.
- Responsible for keeping medical records, coordinating Annual Health Screening for grades 0-12 students, First–Aid Training for grade 10 students, and annual dental screening for grades 0-2 students.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff and deliver appropriate mini-lessons for students when needed. (For example: allergy problems, hand washing, nose blowing).
- Organizes Occupational Health Medicine Examination for EU staff, Certified BHP and (Health
- and Safety) Training for all staff and Certified First Aid Training for all staff, and regular medical check-up for non-EU staff
- Provide, when necessary, Health Care Training (e.g., EpiPen Training) for all staff.
- Provide support for the front desk and school office on a daily basis and in the summer and/or in times of illness.
- Maintenance of the daily student attendance report.
- Participate in school in-service training.
- Serve on the Child Safeguarding and Protection Response Team, providing advice and guidance.
- Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by the Director and Office Manager.

Wymagania:
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (Master’s preferred).
- Nursing certificate valid in Poland
- Strong English proficiency and other foreign language skills.
- Previous successful experience working in a medical facility in a nursing capacity.
- First-aid trained
